I did some marathon gardening on Friday nd am paying for it still now Monday morning. My gods that one oak tree I have was fertile last year! I think I had more acorns than leaves from it. Filled my wheelbarrow nearly two times and I got some up in the autumn too. I also cleaned up three beds, prepping one for planting. There is still so much weeding and turning to do but the constant rain is taking a short break this week so I need to get back our there no later than Tuesday evening and probably do another marathon gardening session on Wednesday after my truck at work that morning.

I wish I could get to low teen temps even with the rain we barely made over 10°C. At least I'm out of the numerous flood zones. Three other provances are not bodeing as well.

Oh, shoot, I completely forgot that I'm late by 2 days of working on our prompt thread, whoops! You're all free to vote until the 31st, haha.

The voting for this month's winner and the prompt for June is open by now, but given how scarce the submissions have been for the last few months, I wanted to ask if you'd like for the thread to continue to be open during the 100 DoS event that begins on the 1st or if you'd like to take a break and resume writing and participating in September? It's honestly the same for me as I don't mind continuing to add the polls, etc. xD

Hope everyone is having a decent (more or less) May and to whoever is going through exams, difficulties at work/personal life, etc.; best of luck to you!!
I'm going to be a bit inactive during the bigger part of June due to exams/100 DoS but I'll try to put more on the table when July starts. :)

I haven't been here in, like, forever due to work and other stuff. But, I wanted to drop in and wish everyone good luck for the summer event!

It's definitely a pleasure to see new and old faces either turning up for the first time or returning after a break!
Hope everything is alright with you, Rim; I may have been stalking your coding storages over the past few days and I have to say your coding is spectacular. :)

I'm sending all of the good vibes for everyone thinking of or already participating in the 100 DoS event! It doesn't matter if you've yet to begin or are dedicated to keeping up with the prompts, what matters the most is that you're having fun. Let's show everyone that these foxes still have some fight in them!! ♥

  • Hey all, I'm back after a long kind of unanticipated hiatus. By the end of this latest semester, I found that I was facing a lot of potential free time, so I was gearing up to coming back in full force to AS. But all of May ended up being spent battling severe mental health issues and I could hardly get myself to eat, let alone peek onto AS. :c However, thanks to a lot of work and doctor visits, I'm starting to gather myself a little better!
So long story short, I'll be participating in the 100dos as much as I possibly can and will really focus on trying to up my activity here! I feel like I've been living in a hole for the last month. lmao I miss all my foxes - I have no idea how much I've missed since I've been gone.

@kami hi! How're you? It's pretty cool to see you again, too! And, d'awww thanks about the coding! Your coding is much more prettier than mines from what I remember!

@Esspe I'm glad you're feeling better! Best of luck for the prompts!

I am four behind on the prompts because of Eid. It's like a festival here so for four days it was nonstop family dinners, parties, and hangouts one after the other. But, now that the severe socialization is over and I have off from work till Monday, I can focus on the prompts because they are just so much fun!

It's great that you're feeling better, Esspe! Everyone gets burnt out every now and then; it's perfectly normal and we're very happy that you've not only managed to stand up from this issue and are getting better but that you've also decided to tackle the difficult task that is 100 DoS. It's really something to be proud of. ♥

And no matter what happens, if you ever need anyone to talk to, both my inbox and Discord are always open; this applies to anyone that is having a bad day or needs someone to vent to, everyone is welcome to reach out and have a chat! Hope ya'll are having a nice day and a nice, albeit very hot, weekend.

It takes a lot of time and effort to achieve a form of tidiness and detail that I love, haha. But thank you! I've chosen a very simple type of a format for my 100 DoS prompts - just the title in a fancier font and a few lines for warnings and the word count. Pretty happy with most of my prompts so far (except #3). :)

And don't worry about falling behind; it's really hard to keep up with the prompts, especially if you get something that just gives you no ideas. Then you spend the whole day bashing your head against the wall and end up more frustrated than inspired. A fellow member from a different house, Kael, actually wrote down some nice tips on how to stay motivated for 100 DoS, no matter how many prompts you're writing. I'd encourage those who find it difficult to check them out!

@kami your forms do have this tidiness. Mines are all over the place! Mainly because I want to use a lot of things and I have zero decision-making powers.

Frankly, I don't feel panicked. But, I've been lazy about the 100DoS the past two years, and this year I want to complete because I am enjoying them. It's fun writing snippets about your own stories! The worst part of being behind is having muse for the ones that come in later instead of the one you have to do now yikes.

Ooh, I'd love to read tips written by Deer. Thanks!
