Users interested in participating will send the completed form (found below) to Admin Thunder. The window for doing so is February 19-22, beginning as soon as this announcement is posted and ending at midnight EST on the 22nd.
Six (6) users from each house will be randomly selected to form a team. Based on the results from the recent poll, character archetypes will be required in each group to add a little spice! Otherwise, it is up to each group to plot, plan characters, and generally prepare. Please vote in the above poll as that will determine whether all slots have an assigned archetype or if there is just 1 character per group that much fill an archetype.
Roleplays may begin as soon as March 1 arrives in EST. The competition will conclude on May 31st at midnight EST. We will include a reminder and provide a time zone converter when the deadline approaches.
Points will be awarded based on how your team places - the group with the most posts earns the most points! We are also considering points earned for reaching certain page number milestones - more info to come ASAP.
One character per person

In the roleplay thread, ONLY roleplay posts are allowed
Posts in the discussion thread do not count towards the competition

We absolutely encourage anyone interested to sign up! If there are enough people, we can make a second batch of groups but to keep it fair, we can only do this if there is enough to make second groups for EVERY house. And, since occasionally someone does end up dropping out or disappearing, it would be wonderful to have supportive and interested housemates following along and interested in being backups, should this happen. We hope for all team members to be online daily, ideally with a couple people posting each day. If more than 48 hours go by without your team hearing from you, staff will attempt to contact you and if we don’t hear back within 24 hours, you will be replaced as we know that time is of the essence to the teams! Teams are encouraged to plot and even seek outside inspiration from other Housemates.
- ***If you are unsorted and prefer to remain this way - you are also welcome to sign up! We can have a few of you form your own team of six. You wouldn’t earn points towards a house but we would still love to include you guys! You could still participate in the competition and see how far you get! We might also offer any unsorted backups a spot in a House team if there is a team that’s a bit short.
We also understand that events like this are very limited in who can participate, as well as demanding on time and may occur at a busy time of year. Staff is excited to present an additional opportunity for points during these two months; an alternative if you weren’t selected for your house’s team or you felt you couldn’t commit to signing up.
The way this will work is we will post a prompt every Monday and Friday. You may create a thread in the Mini Prompt event board found HERE. Only one ‘intro’ post is allowed for personal notes, table of contents, or whatever you may need before beginning your prompts. You can do as many or as few prompts as you like, and you can do them at any time during the duration of the event. You do not need to sign up for the prompts and may join in at any time during the event.

To better reflect effort, for the current 1x1 Roleplay Competition the points have been changed to 5 per person, per page. That comes out to one point per post. Staff have been working hard to implement better point systems! We always welcome feedback as well - we want to encourage participation events but reward that in a fair manner.
If you were sorted last year but want to be officially resorted with the new quiz, the window for this is soon closing. You must submit your quiz answers BEFORE MARCH 1. After that, you are locked into whatever your current results are. Please remember that should you take the new quiz, those results are final and you cannot revert back.
